MP 970 Review 1

This, not so little, beast does it all and so far as I can tell does it all extremely well. I really wanted a wireless printer for the home network but setting this up wired on the LAN to the hub was easy once I had the correct info - unfortunately not all in the manual despite its size. A little googling, though and I had it all set up so that my main desktop handles all the main tasks up and down the LAN and the wireless notebook can print to it shared via the desktop machine. The only slight flaw here is that the desktop machine has also to be switched on but it almost always is.

As to all the multiple functions, well it's a Pixma Canon and as good as all the others in the series. I had thought of buying a slightly cheaper printer and getting a scanner as well but really it's all much more convenient, and has a smaller footprint, as an all in one solution.

An easy to use, well made product with quality output. Not at all disappointed!

MP970 Review 2

The prints quality are perfect. I made a photocopy of a a4 photo and printed it on an A4 glossy paper, the print out picture was so perfect you couldn't tell the difference between the original & the copy (it was a color photo), very impressive. I actually bought this multifunctional printer to print photos, and the photo quality is also perfect. It came with lots of more features which is a bonus. Its super quiet and very fast about 35 second for a photo prints. It's a pretty big printer, but its also a scanner ect. And you don't need to have it connected to a pc to do a photocopy and print out photos. It is as it says professional quality printer. Another thing is the printer doesn't use alot of ink for the actual prints which is remarkable because the prints are perfect. it's abit pricey but for everything it does i believe its good value for money.

MP970 Review 3

Print quality is great, as good as the photo lab I used to go to. The software is easier to use than previous versions. Many functions can be used without the pc. No linux drivers to speak of yet. It is not nearly as ink hungry as my previous printers.
1 problem though. It is Huge!!!! Its the mp610 on anabolic steroids. It will not fit on or near my desk. I fixed that with the the bu-20 bluetooth dongle. It now has its own place 10m away.

It works better than i expected aside from it's size.
